Blind and VI Workshop

Blind in Business helping blind and partially sighted people into work

Blind in Business are a charity based in the City of London.

For 18 years, they have run career days for children who are blind or visually impaired.

They also run parents’ workshops, where they involve blind and visually impaired role models.  These people work in modern careers, such as lawyers, accountants, teachers.

Blind in Business would like to arrange a day where children can learn more about careers and have some mock interviews.  They would also like to meet some more parents and introduce some people who are in work.

The hope of such a day would be to give your children the confidence they need to think about their futures.

Blind in Business also run a gaming session where children can try out games on projector screens and even audio only games.

At the moment, Kay Leeser is seeing what the interest is for such an event and hopes to combine elements of all the above over 4 hours in the City of London, for our secondary aged young people with vision impairments in Essex.

Or, perhaps you would be interested in learning more about such events when they are arranged for the public in London?

Could you please let Kay know if this is something that would interest you and your young person in the summer holidays? The workshops are run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
