St Clere's School

During the Easter holidays 55 pupils and teachers from St Clere’s School flew out to USA for their annual School Ski Trip, destination Brighton, Salt Lake City, Utah.

The ski conditions of Utah are described as “the greatest snow on earth” and they did not disappoint. Over 1 Metre of snow fell on the first 2 days of skiing making for unbelievable skiing. The near perfect skiing conditions suited the experts and beginners. Experienced staff member Mr Parkes stated “skiing through 4 feet of powder was demanding but exhilarating, what a trip!”

Another highlight of the trip was a visit to a top NBA Basketball fixture featuring the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma Thunder. The pulsating game went into overtime with the ‘Jazz’ winning by a point.

This was a once in a lifetime trip for all, a thoroughly enjoyable School Trip that will last long in everyone’s memories
