All-Ireland Champ Receives Award

Earlier this month, year 9’s Rhys Cotter was invited, along with the rest of his London team, to a Gaelic Football Presentation at the London Gaelic Athletic Association headquarters in Ruislip.

Rhys’s team had represented England at the All-Ireland Feilè (or festival) over in Ireland – and won! At the presentation the whole team was congratulated on this amazing achievement and awarded individual medals to commemorate the event.

Rhys Cotter with his awardThat same evening, Rhys was named "Player of the Year" and of the tournament – an incredible accomplishment as not only had he only been playing for two months when he was selected for his team, going on to be All-Ireland Champions at the Feilè is a feat that even professional players aspire to.

Mum Melanie said, “We are extremely proud of him and his achievements in this sport and we hope it continues for him.”
