Our 2017 GCSE results perfectly reflect the hard work of students, staff and parents, as yet again they are outstanding.
The Mathematics and English departments achieved excellent results which, for the second year running, are both high in the 80s for grade 4 and above (equivalent C grade). Additionally, over 50% of our students scored grades 7-9 in English or Maths (grade A-A*). These results emphasise the school’s commitment to the core skills of literacy and numeracy.
With great results in the core subjects, other departments also had fantastic achievements, showing how our curriculum helps students pick areas where they can flourish. Other significant pass rates, in addition to Maths and English, are ICT and Separate Sciences, who all had 100% A*-C.
St Clere's also maintains our higher than national EBacc score of 30% and the school also has higher than national progress overall.
Head teacher Mrs Hughes said, “We are proud of all of our students, not only the many individual success stories, but also the many instances of students working hard despite adversity such as medical conditions, anxiety, family illness and other challenges."
